Pace; a western classical and jazz educated performer based in New York, USA. Beta Cloud aims to span the sonic ground between avant/improv/instrumental performance and ambient/drone/dj sound installation. All compositions are performed improvised in real time with analog synthesizer, analog effects, trumpet, prepared guitar and real time sampling. Noise, hiss, and dynamic peaks, sub and supersonics are intentional and controlled to ensure a maximum lo-fi listening experience. The aim of Beta Cloud is to provide intensity, relaxation, positive aggression, and a sense of passionate response to all listeners. To date, BETA CLOUD has had the pleasure of sharing live performance experiences with: AIDAN BAKER, NADJA, JAMES PLOTKIN and TIM WYSKIDA, OCEAN, BLOODY PANDA, NOVELIST, TEETH SO SHARP, (Abdale, McMullen, and Middaugh), NAVICON TORTURE TECHNOLOGIES, Z's THE BAND, YIP YIP, and many others. C.T. Pace is also an active member of the power noise outfit-GOLDEN DAWN TRIO, (Mutus Liber/Beta Cloud/Vowels), has performed with THE OPEN MUSIC ENSEMBLE, (openmusic.us), as well as other projects including the upcoming WitchHouse Records collaboration release-BLACK MONOLITH. Most recent live collaborations include performances with Ryan McMullen of Novelist, Aidan Baker of Nadja, and a live performance of Will Redman's BOOK for large ensemble.
